The Legal Aid Society of Westchester County

The Legal Aid Society of Westchester County (LASW) provides free criminal and family court legal representation to persons who are unable to afford an attorney. We also handle appeals and post-conviction matters for our clients. The Society is founded upon the belief that equal access to effective representation by counsel is vital to upholding justice and assuring equal administration and protection under the law. Our staff is comprised of a leading team of experienced defense attorneys, family court attorneys, social workers, investigators, and professional support individuals who have all shown a commitment and dedication to indigent criminal defense.
